The Sked: Cable Ratings June 19-25 — Newton Minnow Would Be Proud

Posted June 27, 2012 by Mitch Metcalf

A very similar week on cable this past week through Monday.  True Blood on HBO plateaued at a 2.6 Adult 18-49 rating, leading all cable telecasts despite being available in a small minority of US television homes.  The Newsroom from Aaron Sorkin plunged 62% with Adults 18-49 and 54% with Viewers 2+.  Don’t look for a build […]

Posted July 20, 2012 by Mitch Salem

A new entry in the summer scripted brigade. TBS:  SULLIVAN & SON had a mediocre debut.  The first of its back-to-back episodes kicked off fairly well, just about even with the BIG BANG THEORY rerun that preceded it, both with 1.0 ratings in the demo and 2.5M total viewers (a bit over 50% of […]

Zombies take over the world. AMC:  As yesterday’s numbers had promised, THE WALKING DEAD was a monster in more ways than one.  With a 5.8 18-49 rating in its 9PM airing and an additional 1.9 for the 10PM rebroadcast, its primetime total of 7.7 was equal to the primetime rating for Sunday Night Football, […]

Last night ABC won prime time with a disappointing 1.7 adult 18-49 rating in the fast nationals for the Notre Dame-Boston College game in which the Fighting Irish extended their undefeated season.  The game will go up in the official nationals (realeased Tuesday morning) to about a 1.9 or 2.0.  The real prime time test […]
