THE WEEK.  For the recently completed week ending Sunday (January 21-27, 2013), FOX pulled into first place with a 2.56 adult 18-49 rating, thanks to American Idol, a solid premiere for The Following and a lot of repeats on CBS, as it rests for Super Bowl week.

CBS dropped to a second place with a preliminary 1.75 adult 18-49 rating, down from the AFC Championship-fueled 4.22 weekly rating last week.

NBC is headed for a 1.69 for the week, up from the disastrous 1.21 rating last week.  The NFL Pro Bowl Sunday made the difference this week.

ABC is headed for a 1.67 weekly rating, down slightly from last week (1.71).

SEASON TO DATE through 18 weeks (with adjusted fast national ratings for the last three nights):

CBS is in second place with a 2.33 (down 12% from last year).

FOX remains in third place with a 2.18 (down 24%).

ABC is in fourth with a 1.85 (down 13%).
