Weekend Box Office Predictions 11.27-29.2015

Weekend #48 of 2015 is looking like a decent $182 million for the top 12 films this weekend, up moderately from the norm for this weekend (see comparisons below).

The Good Dinosaur from Disney should open with $53.5 million weekend during the traditional Friday-Sunday weekend and $76.5 million for the first five days Wednesday-Sunday. The film is on track for around $215 million domestic in its run. Overseas the film could bring in $330 million, giving it a worldwide box office target of $545 million.

Creed from Warner Brothers should open with a $23.5 million Friday-Sunday weekend and $34.0 million from Wednesday-Sunday. The film is on track for around $90 million domestic. Overseas the film could bring in $110 million, giving it a worldwide box office target of $200 million.

Victor Frankenstein from Fox should open with a $9.0 million weekend Friday-Sunday and $12.5 million Wednesday-Sunday. The film is on track for around $25 million domestic. Overseas the film could bring in $70 million, giving it a worldwide box office target of $95 million.

Last year, this weekend’s total was $155 million (while 2013 was $195 million, 2012 was $106 million and 2011 was $74 million). This Friday-Sunday is looking like a decent $182 million, up +38% from the multi-year average for the comparable weekend and up +17% from the same weekend last year.
