THE SKED’S THURSDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 6/21/12

ABC bundles up for a long, cold summer.

ABC:  The Oklahoma City Thunder only had one win in them against the Heat, and while last night’s NBA FINALS Game 5 was the overwhelming winner of the night, beating all 5 competing broadcast networks (including Univision) combined, the sports nexus of the TV universe is about to shift to NBC, which begins coverage of the Olympic Trials on Saturday.

FOX:  The massive basketball rating on ABC didn’t affect the numbers for competing shows very much.  THE CHOICE and TAKE ME OUT (which didn’t face the game directly) were respectively down and up only 0.1 from last week.

NBC:  The idea of a 2-night JUSTIN BIEBER:  ALL AROUND THE WORLD special must have sounded much better on paper than it did on the air, as Night 2 declined to 0.8.  The woebegone Canadian import SAVING HOPE hit a new low 0.5, practically CW territory, which made ROCK CENTER look comparatively good at 0.8.

CBS:  Repeats, with THE BIG BANG THEORY and 2 BROKE GIRLS both over a 2.

CW:  A new BREAKING POINTE tied a repeat VAMPIRE DIARIES with 0.3.

20/20 and DATELINE are the only new programming on the networks tonight.
