THE SKED’S MONDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 6/25/12

Some people actually watched network TV last night.

NBC:  US OLYMPIC TRIALS were 3rd place in their hour again, despite a Michael Phelps swimming showdown (which he lost).  However, AMERICA’S GOT TALENT and AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR had strong nights, each winning its hour with a 3.0 and 2.0 respectively, and that gave NBC a tie for the night.

FOX:  HELL’S KITCHEN and MASTERCHEF were in virtual lockstep at 2.3/2.2, with Hell’s winning its hour.  That tied NBC for the night.

ABC:  THE BACHELORETTE matched its season low 2.2, although that was still good enough for 2d place in both its hours.  GLASS HOUSE, though, completely collapsed to a 1.2 (down from 1.5 in its premiere) at 10PM, dooming ABC’s night.

CBS:  4th place from 8-10PM (HAWAII 5-0 tied Glass House in the night’s last hour), but the thing to remember is that the network airs its reruns virtually for free (other than some Guild residuals costs), so CBS may well have had as profitable a night as any of the other networks, which had to pay for production costs or license fees for their new programming.

CW:  Even a cable network wouldn’t be happy with the 0.2/0.1 this network is getting with its Monday repeats.

Tonight, NBC and FOX are new (more Olympic Trials on NBC), while the other networks are mostly in rerun mode.
