If the networks don’t care, why should the viewers?
ABC: ABC can take deep pride in being the only network last night to earn a rating over a 1, reaching all the way to a whopping 1.2 off a 20/20 with that score.
NBC: The only other network with anything original for the night scraped to a 0.8 average, with 1.0 for DATELINE and 0.5/0.4 for rerun comedies.
CBS: Also at 0.8 for the night, the “highlight” being a 0.9 for its UNDERCOVER BOSS rerun.
FOX: Matching 0.5s for HOUSE/BONES reruns.
CW: Its rerun 0.3s didn’t look so bad, given what the big boys were doing.
Tonight is burn-off night in primetime, as NBC continues its weary trudge toward the end of THE FIRM, and CBS gets rid of 2 hours of NYC 22. ABC is all rerun, and FOX has MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL. Sunday features the usual summer line-up: fresh unscripted shows on ABC, reruns everywhere else.
