SHOWBUZZDAILY WEDNESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 10.26.2016

The WORLD SERIES continued strong.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

FOX:  Game 2 of the WORLD SERIES declined half a point from Tuesday in preliminary ratings, but that’s not unusual (the drop last year was a full point), and its 4.9 was still far higher than anything else on TV.

ABC:  Note that because of last Wednesday’s Presidential Debate, all comparisons except where noted are to 2 weeks ago.  THE GOLDBERGS (1.7), SPEECHLESS (1.6) and MODERN FAMILY (2.2) were each down 0.2, while BLACK-ISH, which didn’t have to face EMPIRE, slipped 0.1 to 1.7.  DESIGNATED SURVIVOR, however, fell 0.3 to a series low 1.3.

NBC:  BLINDSPOT was down 0.1 from last week to 1.1.  Compared to 2 weeks ago, SVU was steady at 1.4, and CHICAGO PD was down 0.1 to 1.3.

CBS:  SURVIVOR aired last week, and lost 0.1 to 1.8.  CRIMINAL MINDS (1.6) and CODE BLACK (1.0) were each down 0.1 from 2 weeks ago.

CW:  ARROW gained 0.1 from last week to 0.7, and FREQUENCY was steady at 0.3.

The last piece of the broadcast network fall drops into place tonight with CBS’s introduction of its post-football line-up, which features the premieres of sitcom THE GREAT INDOORS after THE BIG BANG THEORY, and medical drama PURE GENIUS in the 10PM slot.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
