TVLine headine “Champions: Cancelled NBC Sitcom Fails to Find a New Home”.

Considering 99.9 percent of shows canceled fail to find new homes that’s not surprising in the slightest. Heck, it was lucky that Jeff Bozos was a fan of The Expanse novels and wanted the show before it went on Syfy years back. The pickup obviously happened quickly because there was a desire to pick the show up.

Just naming that example as for the few pickups that do occur there was already a pre existing interest in said show from the company in question.

The CW have been slow announcing their renewal plans for The Outpost & Burden of Truth. It’s strange because these shows are hardly going to improve either way so..

Hoping no one spoils this, but if BoT has a resolution to what is really going on by season’s end, I may not mind it if CW does not go ahead with picking up the second season. Otherwise, I hope they do. At least Canada renewed it, if not, so there is a chance to watch another time.

Don’t worry, I’ve never seen anyone discuss the show here. Much of the discussion about show content is instigated by me critiquing stuff lol.

I would think the Lucifer renewal came more from fan interest, no? And I can’t see the appeal, or desire, for Designated Survivor.

Netflix literally stepped forward shortly after Designated Survivor was canceled(The negotiations were just long drawn out). They most likely saw the potential there as it had a fairly large audience with seven day uplift factored in. And sure with Lucifer I guess that helped a little yeah to make the show more attractive.
