ABC’s game shows thrived.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

ABC:  PRESS YOUR LUCK (1.0) and CARD SHARKS (0.9) each gained 0.1.  MATCH GAME was steady at 0.8.

CBS:  THE AMAZING RACE (0.8) and NCIS: THE CASES THEY CAN’T FORGET (0.3) were steady.  A SWAT rerun ended the night at 0.3.

NBC:  After a pair of ELLEN’S GAME OF GAMES reruns at 0.5/0.7, THE INBETWEEN returned from a week off down 0.1 to 0.4.

FOX:  MASTERCHEF held at 0.7, and FIRST RESPONDERS LIVE rose 0.1 to 0.6.

CW:  JANE THE VIRGIN remained at 0.2.  It was preceded by a PENN & TELLER: FOOL US rerun at 0.2.

The summer of game shows continues tonight with premieres of ABC’s HOLEY MOLEY and FAMILY FOOD FIGHT, and FOX’s SPIN THE WHEEL.  In addition, ABC launches the crime drama REEF BREAK.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
