SHOWBUZZDAILY WEDNESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 5.1.2019

 

The BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS carried the night.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

NBC:  The preliminary 2.1 for the live BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS was steady with last year’s early number (on a Sunday), which adjusted to 2.4 in finals.

ABC:  The sitcoms returned after 2 weeks of reruns, with THE GOLDBERGS down 0.1 to 1.0, SCHOOLED down 0.2 to 0.8, MODERN FAMILY down 0.2 to 1.0, and SINGLE PARENTS down 0.1 to 0.7.  WHISKEY CAVALIER was up 0.1 from last week to 0.5.

CBS:  SURVIVOR (1.4) and THE AMAZING RACE (0.9) were both down 0.1, and SEAL TEAM held at 0.7.

FOX:  EMPIRE (1.1) and STAR (0.9) were steady.

CW:  RIVERDALE and JANE THE VIRGIN remained at 0.2/0.2.

May Sweeps is in full form tonight, as ABC airs a GREY’S ANATOMY/STATION 19 crossover, FOX has the MISS USA PAGEANT, and CW premieres the final season of IZOMBIE.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
