ABC: THE GOLDBERGS held at 0.6, and the premiere of HOME ECONOMICS was at a compatible 0.5, comparable with AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE’s performance in that slot. The network gave its new 10PM show a boost with back-to-back lead-in episodes of THE CONNERS at 0.6/0.6, up 0.1 from that show’s single episode last week, and up 0.3 from last week’s CALL YOUR MOTHER. With that assistance, A MILLION LITTLE THINGS was at a stable 0.4 (although down to 0.3 by 10:30PM) for its relocation from Thursday.
CBS: TOUGH AS NAILS lost 0.1 to 0.4. Returning from a rerun week, SEAL TEAM (0.4) and SWAT (0.4) were both down 0.1.
NBC: A down week for the franchise, as CHICAGO MED dipped 0.1 to 0.8, and both CHICAGO FIRE (0.7) and CHICAGO PD (0.7) fell 0.3.
FOX: THE MASKED SINGER dropped 0.1 to 1.1, but it tends to rise in finals. GAME OF TALENTS was steady at 0.6.
CW: The series premiere of KUNG FU was at 0.2, which these days is a not-bad rating at that network. It was also notably solid with in the older Total Viewers metric at 1.4M. NANCY DREW held at 0.1.
Tonight, ABC premieres the drama REBEL, and Freeform has back-to-back season premiere episodes of EVERYTHING’S GONNA BE OKAY.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
