Damn. They should’ve just left Dynasty on at 9. This new show is DOA. And Riverdale has sunk back to season one numbers.

    • Destiny

Quite a few CW shows are hurting lately. I wouldn’t worry too much about Riverdale, it’ll get that third season.

    • FlopWatch

Riverdale’s boost was always short lived, no matter what it’ll get to syndication.

It doesn’t matter for Dynasty since that’s just another bomb anyway, it would be one thing if they moved a higher rated show for a flop.

      • Dave

But I think they actually plan on giving Dynasty a second season. But this move to Friday may just kill it unless it doesn’t matter and they’ve already decided one way or the other.

        • Destiny

You know there’s nothing stopping CBS from canceling the show and just opening up another slot next season for one of its projects. Fans of Dynasty spouting wishing thinking on comment boards aren’t the most reliable out there.

        • FlopWatch

It was already getting 0.2s on Wednesdays, less than that in unrounded numbers, at this point it wouldn’t make much of a difference, it just isn’t working for the audience.

      • Destiny

Sort of explains why Sabrina got the move to Netflix. With the way Riverdale has fallen back to earth this one could have been DOA if placed after it. At least now it has a chance of life.

    • Kissan

Don’t say that just yet as Riverdale can still adjust up to 0.5 later. And of course its almost back to its Season 1 numbers, considering DST is next week. But Riverdales S2 average is still up +41% from S1 so…

  2. Destiny

Poor Lucy Hale, she went from the a lead in a massively successful long running series to being the lead in a massively unremarkable flop.

    • FlopWatch

Maybe don’t sign up for an off brand show for the network because that’s been backfiring on the CW for years.

      • Destiny

Quite the leap though no? PLL was massively successful. Life Sentence was massively unsuccessful. That said quite a few actors have moments like this. Wait for websites like TVLine to claim that the CW won’t make a decision for months yet, when such a decision will be done fairly quickly with those numbers.

        • FlopWatch

It’s the role that matters more, PLL was the flagship of Freeform (which is quickly crumbling apart right now).

Life Sentence is an off brand dramedy and Riverdale isn’t exactly a good lead in.

It’s not so easy to get back to back hits.

  3. Dave

911 is sort of an underrated hero for Fox. No one talks about it, I see no buzz, but it turned out to be a succcess for the network.

  4. Amaury

I hope American Housewife is renewed. It’s going down.

  5. Destiny

    TVLine are so embarrassing.

Clickbaiting desperate fans who don’t know any better. They’ve sacrificed journalistic integrity for the sake of hits.

    • FlopWatch

It’s TVLine and they’ve done the same thing with Great News as well.

      • Destiny

I don’t want to sound mean or anything but if the comments section is anything to go by, they don’t attract anyone with even a modicum of intelligence. Take a look at the Kevin one, namely the top few comments. I’m genuinely glad we don’t get that level of clueless here.
