SHOWBUZZDAILY WEDNESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 3.13.2019

EMPIRE’s place in the public eye thanks to recent news didn’t help its ratings.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings’s analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

FOX:  EMPIRE’s midseason premiere at 1.3 was down 0.2 from its fall finale, and down 0.6 from the September premiere.  Similarly, STAR’s 1.1 was down 0.1 from the fall finale, and down 0.4 from September.

ABC:  The comedies returned from a week off with THE GOLDBERGS steady at 1.1, SCHOOLED up 0.1 to 1.0, MODERN FAMILY up 0.1 to 1.2, and SINGLE PARENTS up 0.1 to 0.8.  Those were lower than last week’s AMERICAN IDOL special, though, and that dented WHISKEY CAVALIER by a painful 0.3 to a new low 0.6.

CBS:  SURVIVOR held at 1.5, and the finale of THE WORLD’S BEST was steady at 0.6.

CW:  RIVERDALE (0.3) and ALL AMERICAN (0.2) were steady.

NBC:  Reruns at 0.6-0.7.

Tonight, Bravo follows the season finale of TOP CHEF with the return of PROJECT RUNWAY, back on its original network but with a new host and mentor.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back this afternoon for detailed demographic ratings for top cable programs from this day.
