Viewers weren’t very interested in the history of the Golden Globes.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

NBC:  The 2-hour GOLDEN GLOBES 75TH ANNIVERSARY special couldn’t do better than the 0.8 for the rerun of THE WALL that preceded it.

FOX:  On midseason finale night, EMPIRE (1.8) and STAR (1.3) were both up 0.1.

CW:  More midseason finales, as RIVERDALE (0.5) and DYNASTY (0.2) stayed put.

ABC:  THE GOLDBERGS (1.6), AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE (1.3) and DESIGNATED SURVIVOR (0.8) had 0.1 bumps, while SPEECHLESS (1.1) and MODERN FAMILY (1.7) were steady.  

CBS:  SURVIVOR dipped 0.1 to 1.7, and SEAL TEAM/CRIMINAL MINDS reruns followed at 0.7/0.7.

FOX airs SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO and TARAJI’S WHITE HOT HOLIDAYS specials tonight, while ABC has to scramble to replace the yanked GREAT AMERICAN BAKING SHOW.

 

 

 

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
