SHOWBUZZDAILY WEDNESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 10.31.2018

A scary Halloween for quite a few shows.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

ABC:  THE GOLDBERGS fell 0.3 to 1.0, AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE was down 0.2 to 0.9, MODERN FAMILY dropped 0.3 to 1.2, and SINGLE PARENTS slipped 0.1 to 0.9.  In that context, a steady 0.8 for A MILLION LITTLE THINGS didn’t look bad at all.

CBS:  SURVIVOR dropped 0.2 to 1.3, but SEAL TEAM (0.8) and CRIMINAL MINDS (0.7) were steady.

NBC:  CHICAGO MED (1.1) and CHICAGO PD (0.1) were each down 0.1, and CHICAGO FIRE dropped 0.2 to 1.2.

FOX:  The line-up returned from its World Series break with EMPIRE down an ugly 0.4 to 1.2, and STAR down 0.3 to a series low 0.9.

CW:  Perhaps wisely, the network took the night off with 0.2/0.2 reruns.

The networks will hope for better results from their regular line-ups tonight.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back this afternoon for detailed demographic ratings for top cable programs from this day.
