>Another tough Tuesday on the broadcast networks.  Back with original episodes, CBS won the night with a 2.7 rating with Adults 18-49, and The Eye is the only network with a show over a 3 rating on the night (NCIS with a season low 3.3 rating).  A lot of shows between a mid-1 and low-2 rating litter the night, which will be a huge rebuilding opportunity for each network except CBS next fall.

NBC ticked up from last week, with Biggest Loser up one tenth to a 2.2 rating and Fashion Star up two tenths in its second week to a 1.8 rating.  Fashion Star was helped by ABC’s Body of Proof being a repeat this week, but it has a ways to go before it is considered healthy.  Last year on this night: Biggest Loser (3.0) from 8-10 pm and a Parenthood repeat (1.0).

The FOX Tuesday comedies took another step down this week, with each half hour down two tenths of a rating point from last week and down three to four tenths from two weeks ago.  All four comedies set season lows last night, as well.  Last year on this night, FOX aired Glee repeat (2.0) followed by Raising Hope repeat (1.4) and Traffic Light (1.0).

CBS was back with original episodes of its Tuesday line up, winning the night with a 2.7 rating from 8-11 pm.  NCIS set another season low, while NCIS: Los Angeles and Unforgettable managed to stay a couple of tenths above their lows.  Last year CBS averaged a 3.1 on the comparable night of originals:  NCIS (3.8), NCIS Los Angeles (3.2) and Good Wife (2.1).

ABC’s The River mercifully ended last night with a small 1.4 rating, up one tenth from last week’s series low.  Last Man Standing kicked off the night with a new episode, its first since Daylight Saving Time started, and it was the first original episode of the Tim Allen series to rate below a 2 rating.  Last year on this night: No Ordinary Family (1.5) and the special Best in Film: Great Movies (1.8) from 9-11 pm.
