THE SKED’S TUESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 8/13/13

With one exception, nothing on network TV last night was above a 1.3 rating–which is to say, the night was firmly in what used to be called “cable territory.”

Daily Comparison 2013 Tue Aug 13 three way

NBC:  AMERICA’S GOT TALENT towered over the rest of the network offerings, but at 2.4, it was down 0.1 from last week and tied its summer low.

FOX:  SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was also down 0.1, hitting a 1.3.

ABC:  Did someone say “down 0.1”?  That applied as well to EXTREME WEIGHT LOSS, at 1.1.

CW:  Not wanting to be left out of the fun, WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY slipped–you guessed it–0.1 to 0.8.  CAPTURE, though, bucked the trend, holding at last week’s 0.3.

CBS:  Reruns, led by 1.0 for NCIS.  CBS prides itself on the strength of its reruns, which are very lucrative because they’re essentially “free” programming, but last night’s slate was down 27% from last year’s similar line-up on the parallel night.

Regular summer line-ups on all the networks tonight, meaning all-new programming on NBC and an hour of fresh content on each of the others.  But the night is likely to be dominated by the season premiere of DUCK DYNASTY on A&E, which scored an incredible 4.3 when it last aired a new episode in April.
