The Sked: TUESDAY RATINGS April 3

>The Voice results show at 9 pm lifted NBC to a weak first-place tie with ABC for the night, mainly because CBS took the night off with a slate of drama repeats.  The Voice edged Dancing with the Stars in the battle of results show, but the increased viewing for NBC at 9 pm did nothing for the struggling Fashion Star at 10 pm.

NBC’s addition of The Voice results show to Tuesday brought the network to a first-place tie with ABC Tuesday night (with an anemic 2.2 rating from 8-11 pm), but the hit signing competition show at 9 pm did nothing to lift the surrounding reality programming.  The Biggest Loser (2.0 preliminary rating) matched last week’s number, although it could go up to a 2.1 in the official nationals.  The Voice results show from 9-10 pm scored a 3.2 rating, enough to win the hour but down from the 4.1 rating the performance episode scored on Monday.  At 10 pm, Fashion Star remained at a season-low 1.5 rating despite a much higher lead in.  Last year on this night: Biggest Loser (2.8) from 8-10 pm and Parenthood (1.9).
