Election coverage, by its nature, is live programming, and thus subject to adjustment in final numbers.  Currently NBC leads the night at 1.4, with ABC at 1.3 and CBS at 0.9.  In addition, while FOX and CW aired scripted programming, many of their local stations preempted or interrupted the shows for election updates, so those numbers may change as well, meaning that the current 0.1 bumps (to 0.7) for THE GIFTED and LETHAL WEAPON may not hold up, and the same is true for the 0.3/0.2 reruns on CW.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings comparisons follow the chart.

  1. Nice increase for The Gifted

Let’s hope it doesn’t adjusts down because last night’s episode was really good and the season is starting to pick up the pace with the setting of one BIG battle with many sides.

That’s a large drop for The Flash. Down 0.4 and just barely scraping 1 million viewers. I could see The Flash hitting below the 1 million mark by the end of the season.

So NBC > ABC > CBS for news?
