SHOWBUZZDAILY TUESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 1.12.2021

 

Quiet premieres.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

ABC:  A run of the movie CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER was at 0.5.

CBS:  Reruns at 0.5/0.5/0.4.

NBC:  ZOEY’S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST (0.4) and THIS IS US (0.9) both dropped 0.1.  Currently, NURSES is up 0.1 to 0.4, but it started at 10:01PM, so we’ll see if that holds up in finals.

FOX:  The season premiere of THE RESIDENT was at 0.6, down 0.2 from last season’s premiere.  The season premiere of PRODIGAL SON was at 0.5, down a steep 0.5 from its series premiere, although that had a big 1.5 lead-in from the season premiere of 9-1-1.

CW:  The season premiere of TWO SENTENCE HORROR STORIES was at 0.1/0.1.  The series premiere of TRICKSTER was at 0.1.

Tonight, ABC launches its new sitcom CALL YOUR MOTHER.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

Note: The fast affiliate-based ratings below measure what aired on network affiliates in 210 U.S. markets from 8-11 pm Eastern & Pacific or 7-10 pm Central & Mountain. The numbers are some combination of the network schedule and any pre-emptions (such as local news or weather coverage). Accurate program ratings will be available this afternoon with the broadcast finals.

    This Is Us fractional but could go up to 1.0 in finals. I hope the Chicagos maintain their 1.0.

    Sorry but NBC has killed This Is Us by putting Zoey in the 8pm slot.

      Zoey had no effect on This Is Us. The show regularly grew significantly out of The Voice. These numbers are just the result of folk losing interest, it happens to every show

    Prodigal Son bombing should get The Resident renewed. You can’t cancel everything!
