SHOWBUZZDAILY THURSDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 7.28.2016

 

Ratings for the final night of the DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION were moderate, with NBC back in the lead at 0.9, CBS at 0.8 and ABC at 0.7.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

CBS:  BIG BROTHER was the night’s only original program to score a rating above 1.0, up 0.1 from last Thursday to 1.8.  The preceding sitcom reruns were at 1.3/1.1.

ABC:  BATTLEBOTS rose 0.1 to 0.8, but GREATEST HITS lost the same to 0.6.

NBC:  Both a rerun RUNNING WILD and a new HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT were at 0.7.

FOX:  Two episodes of HOME FREE were at 0.6/0.5, both up from last week’s 0.4.

CW:  The new BEAUTY & THE BEAST stayed at 0.2, below the 0.3 for its rerun LEGENDS OF TOMORROW lead-in.

As it did last week, Comedy Central’s THE DAILY SHOW will air a special post-convention Friday night episode.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
