The Sked: Thursday Ratings 2.2.2017

The only newcomer to make a mark was the one with the giant lead-in.

CBS:  SUPERIOR DONUTS is going to have a much harder time on Mondays, where it won’t have a 3.1 lead-in from THE BIG BANG THEORY (down 0.3 from last week).  SUPERIOR’s 1.9 was in keeping with how THE GREAT INDOORS has been performing post-BIG BANG, as on the same night BIG BANG was at 3.4, GREAT INDOORS was at 1.7.  In the 9PM hour, MOM was down 0.1 from its last airing to 1.6, and LIFE IN PIECES was down 0.2 to 1.3.  TRAINING DAY had an unimpressive start at 0.9, and over the course of the hour drifted from 1.0 to 0.8.

NBC:  After SUPERSTORE started the night at a steady 1.2, POWERLESS debuted with a blah 1.1.  That’s on par with THE GOOD PLACE’s performance, but GOOD PLACE had great reviews going for it and is owned by NBC’s home studio, two advantages POWERLESS lacks.  CHICAGO MED held its 1.2 from 2 weeks ago, and THE BLACKLIST lost 0.1 to 0.9.

CW:  SUPERNATURAL started the nght by remaining at 0.6, but RIVERDALE fell 0.1 from last week’s premiere to 0.4, barely above the level of the (all but canceled) NO TOMORROW and FREQUENCY.

ABC:  The ShondaLand line-up predictably dropped from last week’s premieres, but remained strong:  GREY’S ANATOMY down 0.3 to 2.3, SCANDAL down 0.2 to 1.8, and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER down 0.2 to 1.3.

FOX:  The HELL’S KITCHEN season finale was down 0.1 to 1.1, and MY KITCHEN RULES remained at 0.7.

CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND ends its short season tonight, and despite the terrible ratings, it’ll be back to sing again.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
