SHOWBUZZDAILY THURSDAY NETWORK SCORECARD -11.26.2015

Thanksgiving stands for many things, but for television it means football.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

NBC:  The preliminary 8.0 for the network’s special Chicago vs. Green Bay THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL is already above the 7.4 final for last year’s primetime holiday game.

CBS:  Thanks to an overrun from the late afternoon Dallas vs. Carolina game, the rerun BIG BANG THEORY is currently at 3.4, although that may shift in finals.  As of now, LIFE IN PIECES is at 2.2, MOM and 2 BROKE GIRLS are both at 1.6, and ELEMENTARY was still staggering at 1.0.

FOX:  The ALL-STAR DOG RESCUE CELEBRATION special howled for a mere 0.4.

ABC:  Reruns, led by 0.6 for THE MUPPETS and THE MIDDLE.

CW:  Reruns of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY at 0.3 (the 9:30PM episode was 0.4).

The networks are quiet tonight with reruns and holiday specials, FOX being the only network with an all-new regular line-up.  There’s some activity on cable, though, as A&E begins its run of new episodes of the former CBS series UNFORGETTABLE, and We tries the stunt of airing all the episodes of its original SOUTH OF HELL supernatural thriller in a single bingeable gulp.  In addition, HBO has the premiere of the Bruce Springsteen documentary THE TIES THAT BIND.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back Tuesday morning for detailed demographic ratings for top cable programs from this day, later than normal because of the ratings delays caused by Thanksgiving weekend.
