Reminder:  the return of preseason NFL football means that over the next several weeks, games will be aired on many local stations, which will lead to more afternoon adjustments for the networks than usual.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

NBC:  The NFL HALL OF FAME GAME brought pro football back and won the night with a preliminary 2.3. 

ABC:  BOY BAND (0.5), BATTLE OF THE NETWORK STARS (0.6) and THE GONG SHOW (0.6) were all steady.

CBS:  After 1.0/0.9 sitcom reruns, BIG BROTHER (1.9) and ZOO (0.5) held at last week’s numbers.

FOX:  BEAT SHAZAM lost 0.1 to 0.8, and LOVE CONNECTION stayed at 0.6.

CW:  The move of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY to Thursdays gave the timeslot a 0.2 bump to 0.4 compared to HOOTEN & THE LADY, tying the steady lead-in from PENN & TELLER: FOOL US.

CBS airs a WE DAY special tonight.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
