SHOWBUZZDAILY PRELIMINARY THURSDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 8.10.2017

NOTE: The preliminary ratings below are inflated by multiple major-market pre-emptions for NFL preseason games, impacting each network. We’re not going to attempt any analysis of the numbers until the finals are in this afternoon.  We will point out, though, that the adjustments shouldn’t affect how shows on a network rate relative to one another, so it seems clear that NBC’s SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE summer Weekend Update series premiered quite well, with a preliminary rating 2d for the night only to BIG BROTHER.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings comparisons follow the chart.

Wait until the finals. Everything is so gloriously inflated by the many preemptions. If you’re a Zoo fan, enjoy that 0.8 for a few hours until the finals take three to four tenths from that.:)

I think Boy Band, Story of Diana, Big Brother, Night Shift, Shazam, and Wall will go down 0.2 in finals, and Love Connection will go down 0.3, and Zoo will go down by half. Penn & Teller and Whose Line should go down by 0.1.
