>Last night, NBC won the night with an estimated 7.1 Adult 18-49 rating (a 6.0 in the fast nationals that we are estimating will go up to a 7.1 in the official nationals tomorrow).  The game itself starting at 8:15 between New England and the NY Jets posted a 7.3 in the fast nationals, which we are estimating will go up to an 8.0 in the officials.

FOX had the late afternoon NFL game yesterday (NY Giants at San Francisco) as it did this night last year, but the game ended before 7:20 pm, limiting the benefit of the prime time run-over.  The Simpsons and the rest of the comedies had rather mediocre nights, with freshman Allen Gregory particularly weak at a 2.0.

ABC scored a 2.6 for the night, up one tenth from last year’s comparable night.  America’s Funniest Home Videos (1.7) was up one tenth over last year, while Once Upon a Time continues to be impressive (3.8), up from a 2.2 last year for Extreme Makeover Home Edition.  However, Desperate Housewives was down substantially year to year (3.0 vs 3.8 last year), and struggling Pan Am (1.8) was far below Brothers & Sisters on the same night (2.5).

CBS was down a tenth for the entire evening.  Although 60 Minutes was up year over year (2.3 vs 1.7 last year), Amazing Race was down one tenth (2.7 vs 2.8 last year).  The real damage on the night is delivered by the award-winning but viewer-avoiding Good Wife (2.0 last night vs 2.7 for Undercover Boss last year).  CSI Miami at 10 pm (2.1) is down two tenths from last year.
