THE SKED’S SUNDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 4/21/13

On what’s become cable TV’s premier night, only two shows on broadcast TV topped a 2 rating.

ABC:  ONCE UPON A TIME returned with its first new episode in a month, and fell to a series low 2.1.  The 1.4 for a special HALLMARK HALL OF FAME movie “Remember Sunday” was in the same neighborhood as ABC usually does with the average of Revenge and Red Widow.

CBS:  Week-to-week comparisons don’t mean much, since last week’s schedule was bumped almost an entire hour by Masters Golf overrun.  Consequently, 60 MINUTES aired at 7PM instead of 8PM and was down 0.4 to 1.9.  THE AMAZING RACE has been at 2.3-2.4 for weeks, and last night was a 2.4.  THE GOOD WIFE was at the lower end of its 1.5-1.7 range.  THE MENTALIST, with its first new primetime episode in more than a month, was down a tick to 1.6.

FOX:  Both THE SIMPSONS and FAMILY GUY were in reruns last night.  Nevertheless, BOB’S BURGERS was up slightly from last week to 1.7 (and up slightly from its rerun lead-in), while AMERICAN DAD was down 0.3 to 1.8 (although it did hold 100% of its rerun lead-in).  Prior to that, THE CLEVELAND SHOW had a season-low 0.9.

NBC:  After 2 hours with a 0.8 for a rerun of THE VOICE, CELEBRITY APPRENTICE was down 0.2 to 1.6.

CBS airs repeats tonight (except for RULES OF ENGAGEMENT), but all the other networks are new.  On cable, Sundance Channel gets into the original scripted programming fray with its first series, the very serious RECTIFY.
