THE SKED NETWORK SCORECARD – 11/24/13

Live events remain one of the last bastions of network TV.

Daily Comparison 2013 Sun Nov 24 three way

ABC:  Despite facing a monster football game, the AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS were up a full 1.1 over last year’s edition to 4.5, towering over the numbers ABC has gotten with regular programming this fall.

NBC:  There was never any doubt that the Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning showdown on SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL would get huge ratings, and with the game turning out to be an overtime thriller, NBC was propelled to what we expect will be a 10.0 rating in final adjusted numbers.

FOX:  The week’s national NFL overrun (which we think will adjust to 8.6/7.3 in the course of the 7PM hour) pushed THE SIMPSONS to 2.9, up more than a point from last week’s 9PM airing.  BOB’S BURGERS was up 0.4 to 1.9 from its last airing, an extremely strange episode of FAMILY GUY was even with last week’s 9:30PM 2.2, and AMERICAN DAD went up 0.2 from its last airing to 1.8.

CBS:  The network’s number may be adjusted a bit, due to close to 20 minutes of schedule slide in a few areas for regional NFL overruns.  For now, 60 MINUTES slipped 0.1 to 1.6, THE AMAZING RACE was down 0.5 to what would be a series low 1.5, and THE GOOD WIFE shed 0.1 to 1.3.  A very key and heavily-promoted episode of THE MENTALIST is currently up 0.1 to 1.5.

Tonight’s number to watch is for ALMOST HUMAN on FOX, which could be in trouble if it continues to decline.  CW airs midseason finales of HART OF DIXIE and BEAUTY & THE BEAST for their dwindling audiences.
