Official ratings for Thursday came down to a combined 3.6 adult 18-49 rating for the five over-the-air broadcast networks last night from a very misleading 6.7 rating in the fast nationals, which were inflated by many local pre-emptions for the final night of NFL preseason games.  CBS declined 0.9 rating point from the fast nationals to the official nationals, NBC and FOX each declined 0.7, ABC declined 0.6 and The CW dropped 0.2.  One ugly night of TV when the dust settled.  The highest-rated show on the night (Big Brother) finished under a 2 rating, and Hollywood Game Night finished its summer run with a lowly 1.0 rating.  As a whole, Thursday network TV was 18% below last Thursday night and 17% below last year’s similar night which was handicapped by the final night of coverage from the Republican National Convention.
