THE SKED NETWORK SCORECARD – 1/28/14

Not much to say about a night mostly occupied by the State of the Union Address.

Daily Comparison 2014 Tue Jan 28 three way

CW:  As the only network TV series airing against coverage of the President’s speech, SUPERNATURAL got a 0.1 boost to 1.2, even with its season high.  THE ORIGINALS, which faced more normal competition, was down 0.1 to 1.0.

NBC:  THE BIGGEST LOSER fell 0.2 and tied its season low with 1.7.  The network edged out CBS by 0.1 to win News Division bragging rights for its STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS coverage at 1.4.  All of the networks were within 0.1 of last year’s results for the speech.  After the coverage, a rerun HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT (joined in progress) won the remainder of the evening at 1.2.

FOX:  A new DADS was even at 1.5, then a rerun BROOKLYN NINE-NINE did a 1.2.

CBS:  A rerun NCIS was at 1.5.

ABC:  The night’s AGENTS OF SHIELD rerun was at 1.1.

Back to normal tonight, with new programming on FOX (watch out for the AMERICAN IDOL number), NBC and CW, a mix on ABC (reruns of THE MIDDLE and MODERN FAMILY, which will hurt their lead-outs), and reruns on CBS after this year’s installment of SUPER BOWL’S GREATEST COMMERCIALS.
