UPDATED: THE SKED NETWORK SCORECARD – 10/21/13

AFTERNOON UPDATE:  As expected, adjusted numbers leveled much of the day’s playing field.  HART OF DIXIE and BEAUTY & THE BEAST reverted to last week’s 0.4/0.3 ratings, while at CBS, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER ended up down 0.1 from last week at 3.0, and 2 BROKE GIRLS dropped 0.1 to 2.5.  MOM was up 0.3 from last week even after adjustment to 2.3, but THE BIG BANG THEORY rerun that preceded it was up 0.2 itself, so the net gain wasn’t as impressive.  HOSTAGES held even at 1.2.  In non-sports related adjustments, THE VOICE, BONES and DANCING WITH THE STARS all went up 0.1, while the good news for THE BLACKLIST was that it didn’t lose anything after adjustment for the 10:01PM start time.

MONDAY CABLE was naturally dominated by MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL on ESPN with 4.9, beating everything on the broadcast networks, but the TLC movie CRAZYSEXYCOOL also did very well for VH1, with 2.4 in its first airing and an additional 1.1 for a later repeat.

Morning numbers are likely to be very preliminary today, thanks to local football coverage on stations of two networks.

NBC:  While THE VOICE dipped 0.3 to 4.2, it was excellent news for the network that THE BLACKLIST seems to have found its level, currently even with last week’s 3.0 (it started at 10:01PM, so that may come down a tick).

FOX:  The hype for BONES‘s wedding episode, which nicely included most of the show’s non-murderous recurring characters, only resulted in a 0.1 bump to 2.1.  After that, FOX reran the SLEEPY HOLLOW pilot for a 1.0.

ABC:  Season lows for both of the night’s shows, as DANCING WITH THE STARS fell 0.2 to 1.9, and CASTLE dropped 0.3, also to 1.9.

CBS:  The local station in Minnesota carried football, so it’s premature to say that while HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was down from last week, 2 BROKE GIRLS held even, and both MOM and HOSTAGES were up.  Incidentally, whatever happened to the idea that HIMYM would be so about the Mother this season that actress Cristin Milioti needed to be a new series regular?  The character continued to be AWOL last night.

CW:  There was football coverage in NY, making the apparent big gains for HART OF DIXIE and BEAUTY & THE BEAST (the latter supposedly doubled its 0.3 from last week) likely illusory, at least in part.

All the networks are new tonight, aside from ABC’s 10PM rerun of Shark Tank in its TBD slot.
