THE SKED’S MONDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 3/25/13

The Voice sings sweetly for NBC,

NBC:  To the great relief of NBC, THE VOICE returned with a 4.7 rating, higher than the show’s fall average and just slightly below the highest rating of its fall cycle.  (It was, however, somewhat below the numbers for spring 2012.)   REVOLUTION may be more problematic.  Although its 2.7 rating was solid, it was below the 3.1 fall average, and fell throughout the hour to reach 2.4, suggesting that the low 2s may be where it’s heading.  Of course, low 2s would be manna from heaven for NBC these days.

ABC:  DANCING WITH THE STARS was decimated by The Voice’s return, down 0.9 to a below-average 2.3.  CASTLE, however, was barely dented by Revolution, falling just 0.1 to 2.1.

CBS:  It’s easy to blame the season lows for HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (2.7) and RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (2.1) on The Voice, but harder to understand why the numbers for the 9-10PM sitcoms went up, 2 BROKE GIRLS by 0.1 to 2.9, and MIKE & MOLLY by 0.2 to 2.6.  Like Castle, HAWAII 5-0 only slipped 0.1 at 10PM to 2.0.

FOX:  The Voice pushed both BONES and THE FOLLOWING to new lows, both down 0.2 to 1.9 and 2.3 respectively.

CW:  Talk about consistency:  THE CARRIE DIARIES has gottten identical 0.4 ratings for each of the past 6 weeks.

Tonight, like Monday, the other networks (except CW) will greet the return of The Voice with line-ups of fresh programming.  This is also GO ON‘s  last chance to enjoy a Voice lead-in, since it moves to Thursdays for its final 2 episodes of the season.
