SHOWBUZZDAILY MONDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 11.24.2014

Between football preemptions and live coverage of the events in Ferguson, last night’s ratings are subject to a great deal of adjustment this afternoon, and even then may not be very relevant in terms of regular-season standings.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

Demo Profile 2014 MON Nov 24

NBC:  The network’s Baltimore and New Orleans stations aired the simulcast of ESPNs MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.  In addition, news coverage pushed STATE OF AFFAIRS to a 10:02PM start on the east coast, and then to almost 20 minutes out of primetime.  That being said, if next week’s rating resembles the current 1.7 (down half a point from last week’s series premiere), NBC will have something to worry about.  THE VOICE is currently down 0.4 from last week to 2.7, which if it holds would be down 20% from the same episode last year.

CBS:  In both New York and Buffalo, local stations aired the only coverage of the NFL game postponed from Sunday (and moved to Detroit).  At the moment, 2 BROKE GIRLS is up 0.1 to 2.2, and with a stronger lead-in from a BIG BANG THEORY rerun than it got from a new THE MILLERS last week, SCORPION is up 0.3  to 2.3, with NCIS: LA down 0.2 to 1.5.

ABC:  DANCING WITH THE STARS is currently up 0.1 to 2.4, and CASTLE is up 0.2 to 2.0.

FOX:  On Fall Finale night, GOTHAM was steady at 2.3, but SLEEPY HOLLOW dipped 0.2 to 1.4.

CW:  THE ORIGINALS lost 0.1 to 0.6, and JANE THE VIRGIN held at 0.4.

Although November sweeps technically lasts until Wednesday night, due to the holiday eve tonight is the last time all the networks have on fresh programming.  Regular programming predominates, with the exception of AGENTS OF SHIELD, preempted for the DANCING WITH THE STARS cycle finale.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
