A slow start for 2018.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

ABC:  THE BACHELOR debuted with its lowest ever season premiere at 1.5, down an unpleasant 0.6 from the 2017 premiere.  The night wrapped up with a rerun of THE GOOD DOCTOR at 0.7.

NBC:  THE WALL was down 0.2 to 0.8 from its airing last Wednesday.  The official season premiere of BETTER LATE THAN NEVER fell 0.4 to 0.7/0.7 from its “preview” airing after THE VOICE on December 11.

FOX:  LUCIFER and THE GIFTED were both down 0.1 from their last airings to 0.7/0.7.

CW:  After an 0.2 SUPERGIRL rerun, VALOR returned at a steady 0.2.

CBS:  A night of sitcom reruns at 0.9-1.1, followed by a SEAL TEAM rerun at 0.5.

The first scripted premiere of 2018 is FOX’s sitcom LA TO VEGAS tonight.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
