NBC’s Deception premiered to a 2.0 adult 18-49 rating in the fast nationals last night (very close to our 1.9 rating forecast).  Look for the series to go down a few tenths from here in the next few weeks.  Biggest Loser (2.4 rating from 8-10 pm) beat our 2.1 rating forecast and is off to a solid start.

ABC’s The Bachelor (2.3 rating last night) exceeded out forecast of a 2.0 rating, while Castle (1.9 last night) failed to hit our 2.2 rating and ceded the hour to Deception (for this week at least).

The national championship will not hit our bullish 9.5 rating forecast.  The game was a blowout.  Notre Dame did not show up to play, and Alabama showed once again they and the SEC are king.  The rating will probably be in the low- to mid-8 rating range.

Update: The final cable ratings are in for Monday. The BCS Championship game ended up at a 9.2 adult 18-49 rating, up from last year’s 8.7 rating despite being a complete blowout.  The broadcast network ratings cited above did not change in the official national ratings.
