>Game 7 of the World Series averaged a 6.8 Adult 18-49 rating in the fast nationals.  Given the usual bump in the official nationals (to account properly for the Western time zones), we are estimating the official national rating for the game to be around a 7.9.  Assuming that number, FOX would average a 7.2 rating two days into the sweep, up 159% from the same period last November.

           NOVEMBER SWEEP SCORECARD
          2011 vs 2010 Through Day 2 of 28

                 2011    2010
          FOX     7.2     2.8     +159%
          CBS     2.1     2.6     -18%
          ABC     2.0     2.3     -13%
          NBC     1.6     1.8     – 9%

NBC’s original lineup of Chuck (1.0), Grimm premiere (2.1), and Dateline (1.3) averaged a 1.5 rating for the night, ahead of the 1.1 the same Friday last year averaged.  So despite the bruising competition from the World Series, NBC actually made up a little ground two days into the sweep.

CBS decided to go all repeats against Game 7, with A Gifted Man (0.9), CSI New York (1.1), and Blue Bloods (1.4) averaging a 1.1 for the night (down from a 1.7 the same night last year).

ABC’s lineup acted like repeats (Extreme Makeover Home Edition, 1.0 at 8 pm and 1.1 at 9 pm, and 20/20, 1.2 rating) and averaged a similar 1.1 for the night.  Last year on this night ABC averaged a 1.6 rating.
