The big news last night was the second telecast of Grimm, NBC’s bit of good cheer from an otherwise dismal fall.  The second episode scored a 1.8 Adult 18-49 rating in the fast nationals, down from a 2.1 premiere but still enough to win a typically lackluster Friday time period.  Chuck declined to a 0.8 in a credible bid to become a CW show (it finished just ahead of The CW’s Nikita which scored a 0.6 in the time period).  Dateline ended the night at 10 pm with a very soft 1.2 rating.  For the night, NBC was a third-place 1.3 rating, up from a 1.1 last year on this night.

CBS won the night with a 1.6 rating (1.2 for A Gifted Man, 1.6 for CSI: NY and 2.1 for Blue Bloods), down from a 1.8 last year on this night.

FOX was #2 on the evening with a 1.4 rating (1.5 for Kitchen Nightmares and 1.3 for Fringe), up from a 0.9 this night last year.

ABC was #4 with a 1.2 Friday night (1.2 for Extreme Makeover Home Edition at 8 pm, 1.4 for the 9 pm edition, and a poor 1.1 for 20/20), down from a 1.5 last year.
