SHOWBUZZDAILY FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 8.23.2019

Little competition for an NFL PRESEASON game, and several of the other preliminary numbers below may be adjusted down on Monday for local NFL preemptions.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis follows the chart.

CBS:  The night’s national NFL PRESEASON game had a preliminary 0.7.

ABC:  WHAT WOULD YOU DO (0.5) and 20/20 (0.5) are each currently up 0.1, preceded by reruns at 0.5/0.5.

NBC:  As of now, DATELINE is up 0.1 to 0.6, preceded by an AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR rerun at 0.5.

CW:  MASTERS OF ILLUSION gained 0.1 to 0.2, THE BIG STAGE held at 0.1, and a rerun HYPNOTIZE ME was at 0.1.

FOX:  Reruns at 0.3/0.3.

There’s little to talk about in tonight’s primetime line-up.  On Sunday, CBS has the season finale of INSTINCT, and the scripted cable turnover continues, with the premiere of Showtime’s ON BECOMING A GOD IN CENTRAL FLORIDA, and the beginnings of the final seasons for Starz’s POWER, HBO’s BALLERS and Showtime’s THE AFFAIR.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back Monday for detailed demographic ratings for top cable programs from this day.
