SHOWBUZZDAILY FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 12.25.2020

ABC’s NBA game easily carried primetime.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis follows the chart.

ABC:  The primetime Lakers vs. Mavericks NBA game (shared with ESPN) had a preliminary 1.1 on the network, followed by a BLACK-ISH rerun at 0.7.

CBS:  Reruns at 0.3 across the board.

NBC:  A run of the original animated HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS was at 0.4, followed by the live-action version at 0.5.

FOX:  Technically WWE SMACKDOWN had a 0.2 rise to 0.8 (compared to its last broadcast episode 2 weeks ago), but that was attributable to its NFL lead-in and we’ll see if it holds in finals.

CW:  The finale of CHRISTMAS CAROLER CHALLENGE was steady at 0.1.

Today, NFL network airs a pair of games, sandwiching a new TV milestone:  a regular season game shown exclusively via the Amazon Prime streaming service.  On Sunday, FOX follows its national late-afternoon NFL game with the premiere of its spin-off THE MASKED DANCER.

Note: The fast affiliate-based ratings below measure what aired on network affiliates in 210 U.S. markets from 8-11 pm Eastern & Pacific or 7-10 pm Central & Mountain. The numbers are some combination of the network schedule and any pre-emptions (such as local news or weather coverage). Accurate program ratings will be available Monday afternoon with the broadcast finals.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back TUESDAY morning for detailed demographic ratings for top Friday cable programs and broadcast finals, delayed by the Christmas holiday.
