THE SKED: CBS Renewals

There wasn’t much tumult expected in the CBS 2013-14 schedule, especially since The Eye will be this season’s #1 network, and today the most of its line-up was renewed (and a couple of others were omitted just temporarily, as financial negotiations continue for their new seasons).  Here’s the nightly rundown:

MONDAY:  How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly and Hawaii 5-0 are all renewed.  Rules of Engagement seems doubtful, although it’s been mistakenly been given up for dead before.

TUESDAY:  NCIS and NCIS: LA are both renewed.  Golden Boy is still officially on the bubble, but last night’s 1.4 rating did it no favors.

WEDNESDAY:  Survivor and CSI will both be back.  Criminal Minds will probably be returning too, but cast renegotiations are ongoing, so a renewal isn’t official yet.

THURSDAY:  The Big Bang Theory, Person of Interest and Elementary are renewed.  2 1/2 Men is in renegotiation mode with Warners Bros and the cast, but is expected to return.

FRIDAY:  Undercover Boss and Blue Bloods are returning.  Both CSI: NY and Vegas are bubble shows whose health will depend on how CBS feels about its fall pilots and in Vegas’ case, how it fares in its Friday move after the NCAA Tournament is over.

SUNDAY:  60 Minutes, The Amazing Race, The Good Wife and The Mentalist have all been renewed.

Note:  the fact that shows are renewed doesn’t mean they’ll be returning in their current timeslots.  It wouldn’t be a surprise to see some movement when CBS announces its fall schedule, especially on Fridays and/or Sundays.
