Ratings information for Starz’s BLACK SAILS was never particularly abundant, thanks to a combination of the show’s slow Saturday berth, Starz not being forthcoming, and a general lack of buzz.  The series finale appears to have rated in line with its first 2 episodes, with 0.28 in 18-49 (that goes up to 0.45 with 10PM and 11PM reruns) and 762K total viewers for the 9PM airing, which compares to 840K viewers for episode 2.  None of these numbers are particularly exciting–they’re comparable to the finale of Banshee, even though Cinemax is in only half as many households as Starz–but consistency is better than a decrease, and the finale scored far better than the season finale of Starz’s DaVinci’s Demons (returning next Saturday), which had only 380K total viewers.
