FOX’s NFL doubleheader were the two highest-rated games in the metered markets yesterday. The late afternoon game at 4:30 (mostly New York Giants at Baltimore) averaged a 14.8 HH rating, while the early game at 1:00 pm (mostly New Orleans at Dallas) averaged a very good 13.5 HH rating.
NBC’s Sunday Night Football at 8:30 pm averaged a soft 12.6 HH rating in the 56 metered markets (San Francisco at Seattle).
CBS’s single game brought up the rear with a so-so 11.4 HH rating (mostly Cincinnati at Pittsburgh at 1:00 or Cleveland at Denver at 4:00).

Local Market Ratings
Milwaukee (Green Bay) and Pittsburgh each approached the 50 HH rating level for local coverage of their team’s game (48.5 and 47.5 rating, respectively).
Pittsburgh, Milwaukee (Packers) and New Orleans once again provided the best home-market support, with each delivering over a 40 rating for their team’s game.

SATURDAY SPORTS. Another low-rated Saturday afternoon sports time period on each network. The only decently rated sporting event was “Monday” Night Football on ESPN (airing Saturday night because of Christmas Eve), but the 6.6 HH rating is pretty bad for an NFL game.
