SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Wednesday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 4.1.2015

NETWORK UPDATE:  THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA lost 0.1 in final numbers to a miserable 0.9.  The afternoon news was better at ABC, where THE MIDDLE, THE GOLDBERGS and MODERN FAMILY all got 0.1 bumps, as did AMERICAN IDOL and SURVIVOR.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

DUAL SURVIVAL (Discovery) and CATFISH (MTV) shared top cable honors on Wednesday with twin 0.68s, which for CATFISH was steady with last week.  On Discovery, DUAL SURVIVAL was followed by SURVIVORMAN BIGFOOT at 0.38, while MTV had a CATFISH post-show at 0.33.  Lifetime’s LITTLE WOMAN LA was up 0.04 to 0.51, and LITTLE WOMEN NY held at 0.41.  WORKAHOLICS (Comedy Central) lost 0.14 to 0.49, and BIG TIME IN HOLLYWOOD FL fell 0.08 to 0.26.  TLC’s MY 600 LB LIFE was 0.02 slimmer at 0.42.  A&E had STORAGE WARS at 0.39/0.37.  On ABCFamily, YOUNG & HUNGRY was down 0.02 to 0.32, and FREAK OUT (not on the chart) dropped 0.06 to 0.09, with 225K total viewers.  The newly-renewed and apparently ratings-proof THE AMERICANS (FX) slipped 0.02 to 0.25.  On TV Land, HOT IN CLEVELAND and SOUL MAN each grew by 0.06 to 0.17 and 0.16 respectively.  BROADCHURCH (BBC America) added a tick to 0.04.  The VH1 Wednesday trio remained woeful, with HOT GRITS steady at 0.07, WALK OF SHAME SHUTTLE down 0.01 to 0.05, and BARELY FAMOUS up 0.01 to 0.04.
