SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Wednesday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 2.18.2015

 

NETWORK UPDATE:  Could EMPIRE go any higher?  Why yes it could, up another 0.1 in final ratings to an even more phenomenal 5.2, and it took AMERICAN IDOL along for the 0.1 ride.  Also gaining 0.1 in the adjusted numbers:  MODERN FAMILY and ARROW.  However, STALKER and THE 100 were on the wrong end of the 0.1 changes.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

ESPN’s COLLEGE BASKETBALL coverage had 2 of the night’s top 3 cable slots on Wednesday, at an impressive 1.66 for the primetime game, and 0.63 for the earlier contest.  AMERICAN PICKERS came between the two (just barely), up 0.08 to 0.64, with MISSISSIPPI MEN up 0.02 to 0.37.  On Comedy Central, WORKAHOLICS jumped 0.15 to 0.63, and BROAD CITY was up 0.03 to 0.50.  Discovery’s DUAL SURVIVOR eased off 0.02 to 0.62.  On Lifetime, LITTLE WOMEN LA dropped 0.09 to 0.58, and BIG WOMEN BIG LOVE rose 0.06 to 0.39.  VH1’s MOB WIVES lost 0.08 to 0.52, and HINDSIGHT fell 0.04 to 0.10.  DUCK DYNASTY (A&E) aired a rerun, and with that much weaker lead-in, WAHLBURGERS plunged 0.27 to 0.48, while DONNIE LOVES JENNY was down a milder 0.11 to 0.45.  On BET, the third night of BOOK OF NEGROES lost 0.14 to 0.47.  SUITS (USA) ticked up to 0.47.  The 4AM FISHCENTER on Adult Swim was at 0.44.  On ABCFamily, MELISSA & JOEY and BABY DADDY were both at 0.37, which was up 0.04 and 0.02 respectively.  FXX’s IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA dropped 0.04 to 0.33, and MAN SEEKING WOMAN managed an extra 0.01 to 0.08.  THE AMERICANS (FX) is going in the wrong direction, down another 0.05 to 0.24.  BEST NEW RESTAURANT grew by 0.03 to 0.20.  LOVE THY NEIGHBOR (OWN) fell 0.02 to 0.27.  SCHITT’S CREEK (Pop) lost 0.01, leaving it at 0.03.
