SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Tuesday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 9.23.2014

NETWORK UPDATE:  The ratings adjustment gods were kind to ABC, as DANCING WITH THE STARS climbed 0.1 to 1.7, AGENTS OF SHIELD gained 0.2 to a more presentable 2.1, and FOREVER went up 0.1 to 1.8–which gave it 2d place in the hour, over CBS’s PERSON OF INTEREST, because that show lost 0.1 in final numbers.  Also down by 0.1 in finals was CHICAGO FIRE.  FOX was (unfortunately for it) unchanged.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts Tuesday (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

SONS OF ANARCHY (FX) fell for the 2d consecutive week, down 0.31 to 2.17 but still more than doubling the #2 show of the night, TLC’s 19 KIDS AND COUNTING, which was up 0.05 to 1.01, and followed by 0.72 for LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD.  TOSH.0 (Comedy Central) lost 0.15 from last week to 0.74, and BRICKLEBERRY had a similar drop to 0.0.44.  INK MASTER (Spike) dropped 0.08 to 0.70.  DANCE MOMS (Lifetime) fell 0.13 to 0.45.  MTV’s pair of scripted comedies returned with 0.66 for AWKWARD and 0.51 for FAKING IT, and both were naturally huge with the Female 12-34 demo at 1.87/1.66.  For AWKWARD, its 18-49 rating was down 0.17 from its Spring premiere in April (but 0.05 above Week 2) and down 0.16 from last fall’s premiere, while FAKING IT tied its series premiere in the 18-49 demo.
