SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Saturday Cable Originals (& Network Update) : 1.31.2015

 

NETWORK UPDATE:  There were no adjustments from preliminary ratings for Saturday’s network shows.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

Sports ruled Saturday cable, with ESPN’s NCAA BASKETBALL coverage in the lead at 1.08/0.87 (plus early afternoon games at 0.39/0.32), Fox Sports 1’s UFC PRELIMS at 0.73, and ESPN again with its late NBA game at 0.62.  Even the 3AM ESPN coverage of the AUSTRALIAN OPEN managed 0.35.  MYTHBUSTERS (Discovery) was up 0.12 to 0.56.  Lifetime’s original movie was at 0.41, with a BEYOND THE HEADLINES follow-up at 0.35.  Starz’s BLACK SAILS was fairly steady, down 0.2 from the season premiere to 0.17.  TLC’s SEX SENT ME TO THE ER lost 0.15 to 0.31, and Food Network’s PIONEER WOMAN dropped 0.12 to 0.32.  THE TRANSPORTER went up for the 2d week in a row, by 0.06 to 0.30, almost doubling where it was 2 weeks ago.  BBCAmerica’s THE MUSKETEERS was at 0.04.
