SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Monday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 12.8.2014

 

NETWORK UPDATE:  With final numbers in, STATE OF AFFAIRS is now tied for the lead in the 10PM timeslot (albeit at a modest 1.6), because with football simulcasts removed, CASTLE fell 0.3 from this morning’s rating to 1.4.  THE GREAT CHRISTMAS LIGHT FIGHT lost 0.2 to 1.7.  In addition, MIKE & MOLLY gained 0.1.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL on ESPN reigned over the night’s cable at 5.07, up 0.99 from last week’s game.  VH1’s line-up had LOVE & HIP HOP HOLLYWOOD down 0.03 to 1.44, K MICHELLE: MY LIFE up 0.07 to 1.02, and TINY & SHEKINAH’S WEAVE up 0.12 to 0.76.  USA’s WWE telecast was at 1.30-1.17 over its 3 hours, down 0.21-0.07.  FAST N LOUD (Discovery) was at 0.85/0.78, after taking last week off.  THE DAILY SHOW and THE COLBERT REPORT (the latter of which included a heavily-promoted guest appearance by President Obama) were both strong at 0.75.  Fans of ABCFamily’s THE FOSTERS and SWITCHED AT BIRTH turned out for each show’s Christmas special, respectively at 0.70 and 0.56.  On TNT, MAJOR CRIMES slipped 0.03 to 0.58.  On Bravo, VANDERPUMP RULES dropped 0.19 to 0.58.  MTV’s ARE YOU THE ONE gained 0.08 to 0.45.  THE HEART SHE HOLLER (Adult Swim) fell 0.05 to 0.41.  ANGER MANAGEMENT (FX) was at 0.27/0.26, up about a tenth from last week.
