SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Monday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 12.29.2014

NETWORK UPDATE:  The reruns of THE ORIGINALS and JANE THE VIRGIN each lost 0.1 in final numbers.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

ESPN has made itself the network of college bowl games, and December has as often as not seen it near the top of the ratings charts.  Monday was no exception, with the night’s games perched at 1.82 and 1.51, and an afternoon game at 0.98.  Sports continued to reign with USA’s WWE in the next 3 slots (since it reports each hour individually), at 1.28-1.05, roughly on par with last week.  (VH1, usually a top Monday network, took the holiday week off.)  On Discovery, STREET OUTLAWS was at 1.05, and FAST N LOUD: DEMOLITION more than doubled last week to 0.65.  MAJOR CRIMES (TNT) gained 0.11 to 0.73.  Bravo’s VANDERPUMP RULES dipped 0.02 to 0.58.  A pair of GIRL CODE (MTV)  episodes were at 0.21/0.19.  USA aired IT TAKES A CHOIR at 0.11.
