SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Friday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 1.9.2015

 

NETWORK UPDATE:  The broadcast network ratings remained unchanged from those reported on Saturday morning.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

Discovery’s GOLD RUSH topped Friday cable, down 0.6 from last week to 1.41.  Its lead-out ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE was #2, down 0.08 to 0.97, and lead-in GOLD RUSH: THE DIRT was at 0.64.  The rest of the Top 6 were sports:  ESPN’s NBA doubleheader at 0.78/0.63, and Syfy’s WWE telecast down 0.07 to 0.67.  Adult Swim returned NEWSREADERS at 0.57 and THE ERIC ANDRE SHOW at 0.47.  Disney Channel’s GIRL MEETS WORLD was also back at 0.51, with lead-in JESSIE at 0.43.  The season premiere of REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER was at 0.38.  TNT’s COLD JUSTICE returned at 0.34, but lead-out WAKE UP CALL held less than half of that at 0.16.  On Nickelodeon, EVERY WITCH WAY was at 0.26.  Cinemax’s season premiere of BANSHEE was down 0.09 from last year’s premiere to 0.20, and down in total viewers from 731K to 547K.
