NETWORK FINALS:  DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION coverage went up on all the networks: by 0.2 to 1.1 on NBC, by 0.1 to 0.9 on ABC, and by 0.1 to 0.8 on CBS.  In addition, the 8PM episode of HOME FREE gained 0.1, while HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT and the LEGENDS OF TOMORROW rerun lost the same.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  CNN wishes the DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION could be a continuing series, as it once again dominated the night and convention coverage with 5 of the Top 9 shows, peaking at 2.02 in the 10PM hour.  MSNBC had the other 4 of the Top 9, peaking in an hour that started at 10:30PM (when Hillary Clinton’s acceptance speech began) at 1.02.  FOX News was highest in its 11PM hour at 0.52.  See Mitch Metcalf’s special Convention Ratings Report for much more detail on these numbers.  A special convention-themed REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER on HBO was at 0.20.  

The highest-rated non-convention show was HGTV’s FLIP OR FLOP, down 0.02 from last week to 0.61, with HOUSE HUNTERS down a tenth to 0.36, and HOUSE HUNTERS INTL down 0.09 to 0.34. Tru’s IMPRACTICAL JOKERS rose 0.07 to 0.48, and INSIDE JOKES was at 0.32.  History’s MOUNTAIN MEN returned at 0.42.  USA’s QUEEN OF THE SOUTH climbed 0.03 to 0.42.  On Food Network, BEAT BOBBY FLAY rose 0.06 to 0.39.  MTV’s RIDICULOUSNESS was at 0.37/0.33, compared to last week’s 0.36/0.30.  On A&E, THE FIRST 48 dropped 0.03 to 0.36, and a lead-out 15-minute 60 DAYS IN special was at 0.31.  We’s BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES edged up 0.02 to 0.36, while CUTTING IT IN THE ATL was down 0.03 to 0.19. Bravo’s FLIPPING OUT fell 0.08 to 0.24.  On Comedy Central, the 2d night of the JEFF ROSS ROAST BATTLE was at 0.23.  Lifetime’s MY CRAZY EX dropped 0.04 to 0.16, and I LOVE YOU BUT I LIED lost 0.02 to 0.12. FX’s SEX&DRUGS&ROCK&ROLL was up 0.02 to 0.15.  POP’s IMPACT WRESTLING ticked up to 0.10.  RIPPER STREET returned to BBCAmerica at 0.04/151K.
